Ebay and Parcelforce 48 question

RJS (undefined) posted this on Monday, 22nd April 2013, 13:52

Anyone sold anything on ebay that was big and used Parcelforce 48 to ship it?I printed out a label, but ebay is far from clear about what I do next. Will they collect it from me? Or do I have to take it to the PO?

I always book it through paypal, There is an option for collection or drop off at your local post office. I believe that drop off is the default.

Dammit, I wish I'd noticed where that checkbox was before I did it. :/ Now I have to lug 16kg worth of amplifier to the PO. :/

(Thanks for the answers guys!)

I ordered some stuff from Amazon market place.  Today I got a card from parcelforce that as I was not home, they have left it a post office, which means that I have to pay £1 plus use my petrol to get there.
They are supposed to give the option of redeilvery or leaving at a post office( at a charge of £1.00)

Lazy parcel force staff. I am going to complain to Parcel force asking them from where did they get my approval to have it left at a post office at my expense!

I picked the 2 packages from the sub post office - a 5m cat6 lead in each package from the same order ( suppose that they split the order so that the packages could go through the letter box as they did not require delivery signature).
I actually tried it if it went through the letter box & it actually did go through it.

The good news is that they did not charge me. If it was my request to be delivered at a sub post office, then they would have charged £1 per package.

The delivery man had (conveniently)forgotten to fill in the "time" box as I wanted to check what my son was doing at that time, he said that he did not hear the doorbell.
