was she really poor before then? before they got married?

I thought she was pretty self sufficient, doing a lot of work for charity etc?? and she`d been a model hadn`t she?

If I was her I would have got out of the marriage sooner then. I didn`t realise that she was a gold digging slut. she must be the world`s first one legged gold digger.. surely that would have put her at a bit of a disadvantage?

No doubting, in my mind, McCartney is an utter twat.
Really, if anyone thinks the world revolves around them, it`s him.
On the other hand, one cannot help thinking she`s planned this all along.

I don`t feel sorry for her. I know the press have really gone after her, bastards that they are, but she`s still a self-serving, self-pitying harridan.

I remember seeing her parading her engagement ring on daytime telly a few years ago with the poor sap she was about to marry - no, not Macca, but some no-mark cameraman. A few months later I hear she is marrying McCartney. She obviously kicked the other guy into touch when she got the better offer.

Maybe I`m a cynical f***er, but I still think some of the conspicuous charity work that a lot of celebs do has a strong element of self-serving, self-deluding, self-promotion about it. "Love me world, I am a wonderful angel of mercy". Charity work has become a career for her and it`s a really good shield to hold up when the brick bats start flying "You can`t have a go at me! I do charity work you know".

I have no sympathy for her at all

I`ll accept that the press have probably "gone for her" to an extent not exactly warranted but at the end of the day she`s the one who put herself in the public eye and as far as I was/am aware she hasnt exactly been "little miss tight lips" in the war of words - I am sure I remember a story where she claimed McCartney hit her which was later found to be a lie (I could be wrong though)

I saw her on the news last night say "what have i dont to deserve this, i;ve done charity work for years"

Oh well you couldnt possibly have done anything wrong then !!! I am relatively sure that whilst she did all this good old charity work that she must have either drawn a wage - and therefore was effectively just doing a job which happened to be linked to charity - or she was having someone else pay for her to do this. Now whilst it would be honorable work it would still mean she;s scounged off someone else to do it

I;m also in paull`s camp on this one (i;m sure many of you will now be continuing to read this after picking yourselves off the floor) and would go as far as to cal lher a gold digger. She doesnt need £80 or £50million that she is looking for, she didnt help him earn it so why should she get so much? Again as paull said if she`d gone for a house plus £5mill not many would have batted an eyelid over it

I;m sure that she`ll be happy to take media cash to do interviews etc and following her attempt to "rewrite european law" to ensure that her daughter won;t see such a "one sided story" about her parents (whether she fails or succeeds) I am also sure she;d be happy to take cash for further interviews or book deals etc etc etc
