Terminator 3, Rise of the Machines (May contain spoilers)

T3 has the best ending to any of the series
Just what I was expecting, were any of u?
Because something that bugged me about the second, was that what happened to the company who originally started it all and created SkyNet?
Before Cyberdyne Systems I mean.

Well T3 explains all, I thought it was action packed and did not slow down at all from word go, was a bit dissapointed to find it was over so soon, thats the only drawback.

Yeap, couldn`t agree more. I think this is the best piece of entertainment I`ve seen on the big screen for a looooong time.
Although there are still bloopers like when Arnie and co. walked in to a military base with guns and all to see Kate`s dad. Now, how the heck did they get past security?

Yes, and there already is a Terminator 3 thread. Click here to go to it ;)

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how wrong it is ;-)

I prefer this thread - the people aren`t so harsh on the movie. I really enjoyed it, it was an enjoyable film from start to finish, and my evening was not ruined by the fact that john connor was a year too old or whatever. Sometimes people can get too involved in the film watching...take a step back, i mean - Quote:
and that the T-1000 managed to travel back through time when it has no living tissue
Oh how mad, everybody knows that only things with living tissue can time travel, i wish these films didn`t just make stuff up as they go along.

It is clearly establishbed in The Terminator that only organic things can travel through the time portals, and yes, when sequels decide to ignore rules established by their predecessors, it does annoy me.

Oh, and John Connor was three years too old, and, if the timeline of this film is to be believed, Sarah Connor already had lukemia during the events of T2!?!?! The film was nothing more than a run of the mill action flick cashing in on the good name of the Terminator franchise.

Now, how`d you work that out? :)

Anyways, does it matter all that much these tiny little details? It`s a film, it`s an action film. At least it had a decent plot line and a decent ending.
As for the time travel thingy only with organic tissue stuff, what`s the diff? It`s make believe. And they can come up and say that since T1, they`ve made improvements to the time travel machine and it now accepts "things that look like humans". :) Come on, if you want to be *realistic*, then the whole show has a big hole... Time travel is not possible. :P

BTW, I think the moral of the story is... don`t trust Software. I`m a software engineer. I know. :p

Or maybe it`s, trust Hollywood...to churn out another pile of over-rated drivel!

right, timeline here for u all

Terminator 1 comes through early 80`s
Sarah kills him and she has John
1991 Terminator 2 comes through nearly 10 years later, now John`s about 10
Arnie kills him, ok
On Sarah`s tomb it says she died 1997 ok and John says she was living in Mexico I think when she got cancer and battled it for 3 years, which means she was in mexico in 1994, three years after T2
then the Final terminator (or is it) explains all

Who said they could not have invented a Time Machine capable of sending metal through time, say a revised time machine like the machines do with the terminators (eg. a new model)

Oh and by the way, he may be an action hero but does anyone else thimk James Cameron is a bit of a prick?
I mean have you ever seen him being interviewed?
And I hear he was p***ed at someone else taking the Terminator franchise on, well if you are soooo p***ed why did you not make the third film?

Hmmmmm..

I`ve just had a thought (I do get them occasionally..)

I thought Kyle said (in T1) that his team captured the `time machine` kit just after the first Terminator had been sent through as a last ditch attempt, just before JC`s band destroyed Skynet. He`d been sent onwards to seek & destroy with JC knowing all that stuff about the past, etc.

So how did the T2 get to the past? Couldn`t have come chronologically after the original T1 as the kit was in human hands by then. It could only have been sent by skynet before the events of T1, but arrived in the past at a later date than the original T1 from the first film. Okay, I can just about get my head around that, but where does the T3 come from? She can`t predate the T2 as the T2 was an experimental model and she couldn`t have been developed after the T2 as Skynet had been destroyed by then.....

I`m getting a headache.............

PS I ain`t seen T3 yet, so be kind.....

PPS I don`t mind spoilers BTW.....
