What idiots are voting for `LotR` after only seeing one film?
P.S. vote `Ring` - the scariest film ever
I`ll second the above comment as Peter Jackson might do a Lucas on us yet!!
Why isn`t Indiana Jones trilogy listed? That would be my best.
Oh ye of little faith.
And isn`t star wars a "Hexology"/"Sexology"?
:D

Good point sparkster! Come on mods where`s Indy?
I knew I`d forget one major trilogy. :)
How can people vote for LOTR as the best trilogy when only one film has been released?
The `Dead` (Romero) trilogy, in my opinion.
I`ll tell you how I can vote LOTR as the best Trilogy after seeing only one film
1. I`ve read the book
2. The first film met my expectations (and exceeded them in some cases)
3. The dialogue wasn`t corny crap (like SW)
4. The vistas were spectacular as was the camerawork in general
5. The effects were great
6. We know what is to come without having to see the other two films
7. And finally, if he did such a great job with the first, why should the next two be any different when he made them at the same time?
Here`s my view
25% Star Wars
A New Hope:- Classic
Empire Strikes Back:- Darker, brilliant.
Return of the Jedi:- Would of been a brilliant film if they cut out the entire Endor plot- which I could never see the whole point of that section.
They could of done an arial assault on the planet without ever meeting the Ewoks.
26% Lord of the Rings
Fellowship of the rings:- Really cool film
Two Towers:- Not yet released
Return of the King:- Not yet released
15% Back to the Future
Part 1:- Very good
Part 2:- A very clever sequel- you can tell the scriptwriter used their brains
Part 3:- A good finish to the trilogy
21% The Godfather
Part 1:- Classic
Part 2: even better than the first
Part 3:- Even Al Pacino thought is was crap
1% Evil Dead
Evil Dead:- A good blood soaking gorefest of a film
Dead by Dawn:- Excellent sequel
Army of Darkness:- A kiddie friendly flick you can tell they did it for money
3% Ring:- not seen them (I want to tho)
9% Indiana Jones
Raiders of the Lost Ark:- Totally cool
Temple of Doom:- Stereotypes galore married with s***e special effects (especially the mine chase)
Last Crusade:- Ok sequel not as good as the 1st one.
So all in all Back to the Future by sticking to a classic formula as well as adding new ideas and twists.
