Graphical superiority aside, it was a mild step backwards, at least in size of story and size of map, but rockstar have always proven themselves to be a development house above all. Vice city used the GTAIII engine, but was on a comparative size to its predecessor, so when SA came out everyone was completely blown away but the sudden change in scope, but then they were dismayed by the whole `you have to stop halfway through a mission to grab a burger` mechanic. It was a valiant effort, but just killed the gameplay.
Going straight from the GTAIV map to something that looks like it may eclipse that of San Andreas is incredible, my only concern is that as a PC over console guy, I have to wait another couple of months, plus I hope the graphical capabilities needed aren`t too much of a stretch from the last engine, my setup`s getting a bit twitchy lately

My brother in law to be is a gamestester for Rockstar.
Been on GTA V for a year now.
He`s said it`s awesome, unfortunately the last time I saw him was on my brother`s stag do and had been drinking from 10am both days, so don`t remember other details (he was relatively cagey, due to the confidentiality stuff they have to sign anyway).
I`ve still got the last one unplayed, really need to crack away at it (I had played it for a bit on Xbox 360, before I swapped so had to buy again).
Actually think it may be a version with extra stuff too. I get to excited with games at under £15 and buy then never get around to playing. Also have Portal 2 not even opened

I don`t want to have to wait 6+ months for the good version again.
I can see them sneakily raking it in on the PS360 version, and then pumping out the PC/PS4/XBoner versions in time for Christmas. There is no way the aging consoles can manage the graphics depicted in some of the recent publicity screenshots.
What would Mary Whitehouse say???????

I heard some complaints about it havingSPOILER:
torture, where you choose your torture method, and carry out the torture yourself, don't really see why people are upset about that in a game infamous for violence, and bad taste ;)
I was also reading that Rockstar recommend you don't install the 2nd disc until you need to on the XBox 360 version, as that could decrease performance.
There was also something bad said about the ps3 download version having problems but the story was then proceeded by lots of "I've downloaded it and played it with no probs" so it's hard to tell what's what!
PS3 Skyrim was apparently plagued with loads of problems but my missus never encountered any of them!
haven't played GTA IV in ages, I forget how far I was through it, will probably wait till this one is in bargain bin before picking it up.

RE: [VIDEO] RE: Grand Theft Auto 5
Sadly, both dates are just placeholders / complete guesses.
I have no doubt that it will arrive at some point, but any time before next year would be considerably earlier than any previous GTA PC port. They're usually announced two months after the console release.
Anyone else playing GTA online? My PSN is the same as on here if anyone wants to team up in a crew
