Why isn`t any of the R1 sites listing Alien Quadrilogy? ***Inside of the box set exclusive***

On a few dvd news sites they state that it will be coming out on R1 this year, they even have the box design and everything.

So how come only the canadian sites are selling them, and not the north American sites?

EDIT
Click here and take a sneeky look on what the inside of the box set will look like.

I think Enterprises DVD are selling the Region 1 version for £49.99 and DVD Concept are doing it for £79.99. Hmmmmm......

I`m not sure if these are Canadian or US versions.

Expect the worst and you won`t be disappointed!

Both the R1 & R2 version of this will not be released until early December 2003.

CD-Wow list the R2, for under fifty quid if I remember rightly. I think I`m gonna go with that just so I don`t get hit with customs charges. I believe DVDSoon have it for pre-order, as do DVD Import.

Have they announced the final specs for this yet? I keep hearing different things about what`s included. Are there 2 versions of each film or not? If there were, sounds pretty definitive to me. If not, then leaning towards keeping my Alien Legacy boxset for sake of completeness - extra features common to both or not? Help appreciated...

Yes, there are two versions of both films. See here for more details of extras.

Rumours are persisting that the R1 box set will not be out until the New Year although it looks like the R2 will be out on December 8 but not official announcement as yet. I thought they were waiting until after "Alien : Directors Cut" had been released in the cinemas before making an official announcement.

So will the boxset have the directors cut then?

From what I`ve read the Alien, Aliens, and Alien 3 will have both theatrical and directors cut versions, on the one disk, just like the Terminator 2 dvd.

The only thing that strikes me as odd from that URL to a picture of the boxset is that all the discs are rated 18, whereas I know for a fact that Alien (Disc 1) has been reclassified as 15, and I`m sure most of the extras` discs will be 15 (or even lower) as well.
