Ebay feedback question

Mikeonfreeserve (Elite) posted this on Saturday, 28th October 2006, 12:56

Can someone verify this for me please?

If I `reply` to feedback already left for me, to leave a more accurate comment, can the seller get at me?

I bought a game and it`s a cheap copy by the ook of it and no cover or instructions.

Now I notice the seller has 25 mutually withdrawn feedbacks.

I left a `fast delivery` +ve feedback for him and this triggered the required response and he left a +ve for me but I feel I want to get back at him for diddling me.

If I do a `reply` next is that the end of it?

I`d like to warn others.

Damn, sorry, didn`t mean to post here. Can a mod please move this.

To make amends, there`s a half price poster print offer with Jessops online making it £3.98 inc p+p for a glossy 10" x 15" poster, he says, sheepishly.

To redeem this offer use coupon code JESSOPS10X15 at the checkout

i think you will just have to let it go... it is infuriating when you dont actually receive what you thought your were going to get!!!

If it is a copy then report the seller to ebay, they will take action against them.

I think the lesson here is only leave feedback once you have checked the goods thoroughly. I agree with mre15 though....report the seller to eBay and they will deal with it. Whenever I have complained, they have always acted quickly. Sorry it doesn`t really answer your original question!

Thanks for the Jessops code though!!

You can leave anthor line of text, called a follow up that will appear underneath the feedback you have left already, go into site map, in the feedback section theres a follow up option there you can click on, I use this alot if I am happy with the item I have brough after a week or so.

In the first instance I would try & negotiate & get my money back,if pressed into acting purely out of revenge (not my style at all I might point out),then I can tell you it has been known for the one seeking revenge to create a second,"bogus" (& disposable) account,"buy" one of the offending sellers "buy it now" items,& immediately leave him negative without paying.
It will be possible for him to (eventually) remove that negative, but may give you satisfaction for a reasonable time.
