S80 owners: if showing erroneous pluralism reveals the that the subwoofer has become the brain instead of the intelligent processor. Suggest you return to Maker in a coffin-shaped box if issue is to be totally removed from circulation as seems most desirable resolution to this nitpicking little problem! :B

I tend to avoid those who have so much to complain about in life, put others down, talk in directives to all and sundry and use expletives with every mouthful and generally fag on about f `-all. Their social conversations are likely to bore one stiff .......or stiff one`s bore at the very least!
Also as an 45 year Ex-pat I doubt if many of today`s Englander`s would care to serve me or share a beer at the icy cold temperatures to which I have become accustomed in the Antipodes!
Warm beer ???????
S`only good for an underarm wash first thing in the morning ! and NEVER but NEVER for human consumption!

Yes, the Greeks knew how to state the obvious so eloquently which leaves us to ponder at the demonstrated level of the many things foisted upon us by fools and horses and Geeks today.
For example Einstein went Greek with his formula for the all progressing nomenclature of the universe. But of course this was from an intelligent source.
But if Theta=Mc2 we could use say a random formula such as S4B = 0IQ in this instance so that this formula if applied is a QED of the position to be demonstrated as true.
Nil Desperandum,Quid Pro Quo, and voila! ..the kitchen utensils are hereby removed from the knees up. :D

Rules prevent me from languaging to answer this as I would really like to in my introduction.
However, I will settle for just saying this:
Closed minds reap no rewards
U should realise that Knowledge and learning has no use-by date.
No one knows it all and many want to learn from others.
To all those who find ONLY criticism in everything....that`s why you will never progress!

If you read my answer to the previous post about a faulty S80 then read this posters comment ..." I just need a CHEAP REPLACEMENT !"........
You will quickly see the validity of my comments about consumers driving down the value of everything while hoping to save a buck.
What goes around comes around.... and the less you pay the less you get !

As the the Greeks put it "Quod Est Demonstratum" (QED)

If yah want it fixed ...PAY a Technician and support the fundamental consideration one must make before procuring anything......If you cant afford to fix it if it goes wrong.....don`t buy it !

You`sve got wot sounds like a component problem matey !

Like most of today`s equipment (in spite of the maker`s claims as to their brand superiority!)
much of the electronic componentry is underrated in terms of its voltage handling ability. For example the circuit may have 10v rated parts but may get to have to handle quite some higher voltage levels which in a relatively short time(usually just after warranty expires!) may break down or become unstable. I have replaced hundreds of such parts so as to restore units to working order, mostly in items that have been discarded by the owners. Unfortunately it is YOU the consumer that is to blame for this quandary by demanding el-cheapo products which you can simply throw away if they break down, rather than pay for the services of a Technician to fix it!
Try finding a Techo who can fix most things like me?........we are a dying breed having passed our use-by date ! Time was when I could not sit down for five mins without someone wanting me to fix something. Now it is only my family and close friends who get to save hundreds of bucks on those pesky equipment fixes now !
