RE: The Wire (Best show on tv no one watches) Season 5 thread

Watched season five episodes 1-7, in a week and had too wait 3 weeks for no .8. Filled the time by watching "the Corner" as quoted in a past thread, great show, sort of a trial run for e the wire, with a lot of the same actors. A must watch for all wire fans and a true story too.

It as ok, but suffered from the same problems as life on mars season 2 finished with, poor plots, poor if not awful dialogue.

Apart from gene hunt, the short skirts and the music the show stinks.If it was not i time travel show no one would watch due to the shows week script, none dies or get hurt no suspense. The potential for a great show is still there hope it improves, ie she stops seeing very fake clowns, talking tvs, fake gun fights and all that psycobabel sh*t.

i agree the best show on tv, but i thought season 4 was the best season along with season 3. Have just watched season 5 eps1, good if maybe slow start.

Have tried this with my yamada 6600 and my skyworth and replacing the p with n, but have not seen any difference, can anybody help?

p.s. there is no shudder on my brothers yamada 6100 it plays everything perfect apart form some xvids that it does not play at all, but all movies great.

Also the so called great firmware updates for the yamada are not great, a friend using v4 updated crashed and broke his 6600 using the update i gave him which worked on mine.BEWARE UPDATING FIRMWARE, i wound not risk this again.

panasonic dvd recorder problems

Having just got on one from richer sounds for £199 multi, can anybody tell me if it should go back. Having copied two disc both ending in disc error and could not open the machine without great difficulties, now this display on the bright setting is very light looks like trouble.Can anybody help.
