Just watched this on player, cracking cop drama based on I assume is a made up Maritime Homicide Unit, what appealed to me apart from its Scottish home was the intriguing and fresh take with the main characters breaking the forth wall and humour as well as her stories being quite educational WWAW
Certainly looks worth giving episode one a go.

Episode one.
Think I'll stick with it.
The fourth wall thing is a little overdone and feels like a cop out (intended) to develop the viewers relationship with Annika too quickly. Could be done more naturally through plot and dialogue.
I like the off beat humour which feels closer to the sort of thing you'd actually find within the job.
Take it as a compliment but the plot felt reminiscent of something you'd get on Vera.

Last episode season one to go.
The fourth wall thing which started as annoying becomes far more relevant and works well as you get into it.
Nicola Walker is bloody good and the rest of the cast don't put a foot wrong.
Looking forward to season two before even finishing the first.
