Watched the first episode of this last night and I'm torn.
Enjoyable enough to keep me watching. It got the sense of time and place spot on but I'm not sure about Joe Cole.
My first thought on seeing him listed was what the hell is a fooballer doing as a main lead as I've never heard of him.

I think he might be trying to do too much of a Michael Caine impression rather than just play the role.

lost me after 25 minutes and turned over... totally agree should just be himself, and stop trying being a poor caricature of Sir Michael

Many years since I read the book.
Anyone read it more recently care to say what Palmer is supposed to look like from Len Deighton's writing.

Gave up half way through the series.
Characters remained cardboard cutouts and didn't really give a toss about any of them.
