there's some obvious entries there, i've heard of most, if not all, but quite a few I haven't seen. there's a fair few interesting choices I'm surprised are in the list, but am glad they are :)

Utter guff tbh, would love to know who voted and the criteria, TV particularly since streaming became a thing has vastly improved things and don't see any recognition of that

While in no way definitive, the answers we have collated are fascinating – and, we hope, will inspire TV lovers everywhere to both seek out titles they haven't seen before, and further reflect on and discuss ones they have. In total, 460 different series were voted for by 206 TV experts – critics, journalists, academics and industry figures – who came from 43 countries, from Albania to Uruguay. Of these voters, 100 were women, 104 were men, and two were non-binary. Each voter listed their 10 favourite TV series of the 21st Century, which we scored and ranked to produce the top 100 listed below.

some of those shows are on netflix so it includes streaming

Those three are all 20th Century TV shows.

Although I have to admit that all those lists did was prove to me how little I watch ‘broadcast’ TV these days.

I think I saw Rolling Stones magazine top 100 recently, well actually it was an article about songs that had fallen out of the list, and when you looked at some new one on the list which were supposedly better, all it did was make you realise how pointless and subjective lists are.

Maybe we should have our own?

Tells me how little I watch TV.

Precisely two that I've watched right through and a handful I watched say one series of, another handful I've seen the odd episode.

Some you couldn't pay me to watch and a whole lot of WTF, never heard of them.
