Wow.

Watched this last night to see what the fuss was about after all the furore to try and get this cancelled and was stunned.

Watching this for the first time, you don't really know where it's going, but the story at the end is just the point he was trying to make from the start of this Special.

Not as much comedy as I expected, but it was a superb narrative about social media and the real world.

There was some long-term planning by Chapelle to get to this point.

I cannot believe that anyone else hasn't watched this yet or seen the fallout from it, where we've had:

• exec meetings stormed and the perpetrators sacked
• Netflix issuing guidance to its employees about which meetings they can/should attend
• a Netflix employee sacked for leaking confidential information on how much Netflix spent on this ($24m)
• a walkout of Netflix employees where the organiser was fired (same person as above)
• Netflix refusing to back down and keeping the programme on its platform

Not a massive fan of Chapelle anyway whether he's being ultra controversial or not.
I've seen various comings and goings about it on a couple of news feeds but as the controversy seems to revolve around the whole gender/trans/terf (BTW I still have no idea what terf stands for) debate I really can't be ars*d watching it.

I stopped following Graham Linehan on Twitter several years ago as his whole feed ended up as a constant row between him and seemingly everyone else on this subject and I had no idea who or what he was arguing for and still don't.

I'm staying well away from it as there's more than enough in the world to be pi**ed off at without adding something else.

Graham is now gamekeeper turned poacher after he inevitably fell foul of the trans lobby and they started to have a go at him.  He still doesn't acknowledge the damage he did (neither does JK Rowling either) but he at least seems to recognise that something is wrong.
