OBI-WAN KENOBI SERIES

https://www.starwars.com/news/obi-wan-kenobi-series-cast

Quote:
The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow, director of two critically acclaimed episodes of The Mandalorian Season 1.

The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.

I'll have to google the cast list, as Vader and Obi are only ppl I recognise.

Looks like it's a cast full of 'Hey, it's... that guy', but a sift through Imdb is interesting.

Joel Egerton was Owen Lars in Ep 3, and Bonnie Piesse was Beru, so probably the same roles?

Rupert Friend was recently Hitman 47, but he was in Boy with the Striped Pyjamas & the Young Victoria etc

Kumail Nanjiani seems to have been in a lot of low-brow boner comedies (Hot Tub Time Machine, Sex tape) so he'll probably be the comic relief.

Looking forward to it, but also hoping they don't go overboard and screw up the overall timeline, but I'm hoping they touch on how Obi-Wan managed to age 40 years in 19.

He's old when he turns up in Rebels, which is a couple of years before Star Wars.

he's not human so maybe he just ages differently, you know, like wookies and whatever Yoda is :)

I guess he could have a big fight which ages him, like what happens to Palpetine?

"Rupert Friend"

He was a major character in Homeland, that's where I recognised him from.

Rupert Friend is rumoured to be playing the Grand Inquisitor

May 25th

you'd have thought someone was asking "May 25th? Any chance of airing it 21 days earlier?", but as it turns out May 25, 2022 will be the 45th anniversary of ‘A New Hope’

Whoa

Looks amazing. Let's just hope it has enough material to last the series, unlike Boba Fett did

looks like a good excuse to watch Clone Wars and rebels again :) nice to see Inquisitors and other characters like that being reused.
