Thoroughly enjoyed the first episode. Much moreso than the recent War of the Worlds with its silly feminist revision.

i heard them talking on the radio to some of the cast, I assumed at first it was another big screen adaption rather than TV!

Looking forward to it, 3 parts.

I didn't like it. Bob Cratchit was a bit of a whiny dick, frankly. If I were Scrooge I'd have put the chippy f***er on a zero hours contract.

watched the first one last night, thought it was ok, missus wanted to watch 2nd part tonight, so we did, got this far so may as well watch third part tomorrow, there's nothing wrong with it, they clearly spent some money on it, but there's nothing special about it, or particularly interesting. The missus commented on how dark it was (not in a bad way), I pointed out that was probably because we're used to the story being told involving Muppets or Mickey Mouse and friends.

SPOILER:
Not sure if boarding school activities were in original book as a reason for Scrooges behavior, seems lazy writing if it wasn't in original, as that's the "go to reason" for someone becoming a bad un it seems :(
