Also, the first couple of Discworld books aren’t that hot, more genre parodies than anything else. It’s when Pratchett finds a satirical edge that things get better. If you ever feel the need to try again, one way is to choose a set of characters and stick with those novels first, The Witches, Rincewind, Moist Von Lipwig...
I’d recommend the Sam Vimes books, starting with Guards, Guards!, then Men at Arms, and then Feet of Clay and see how they go.

I'll bear that in mind.
I just wonder though if Pratchett's work translates better for me on screen than in print.

I found the reverse especially with David Jason as Rincewind I couldn't buy into especially as he'd already played Albert.
The animations of Soul Music & Truckers worked much better for me.
My outlook on life is positive & carefree, I'm positive that I'm a pessimist & I don't care what what you think.
Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.

Couldn't agree more.
Although I enjoyed it David Jason, as good as he is at almost anything else, is not Rincewind.
Sky's best attempt by far was Going Postal.

So a couple of days ago, found Star Trek Discovery and The Orville Seasons 1 for sale on Amazon. My iPad was playing up, and it registered 'checkout' as 'Prime Trial', I now have a month of free Prime. What else to do but to watch Good Omens. Quite enjoyed episode 1, but really only for the two leads at this point. Onwards to episode two...
EDIT: Episode 2 hooked me.

Already hooked but still grinning from start to finish.
Note: Whenever I watched GOT I'd skip the titles but I'm loving these.
David Arnold has nailed it with the theme and there's always something I didn't notice.

When will it be on BBC2 as I don't have Amazon prime?

Probably in the Autumn. Neil Gaiman said something like 6 months after Amazon.
Could not wait for months, so saw it at a workmates house on catchup, saw the first three episodes.
Very well acted as the two main actors played off each other, and did remind me of hitchhichers guide to the galaxy a lot. Very funny in places, but thought Gods team upstairs were made to look just as fanatical as those below, to the extent of being as evil, determined for the final battle to occur.
Was it me or did David Tennant seem to impersonate Bill Nightly's style quite a lot?
