So would I nowadays :(...enjoyed the 1st episode , enough there to keep my interest piqued

Ep 1 held me from start to finish.
Yes some of it may have been predictable but given the premise and the depth of knowledge of the fan base I don't really have a problem with that in a first episode.
Thought it was well paced and I'm definitely on board for the series.

Still enjoying it but I thought Ep 2 was a little more predictable than Ep 1 if anything.

EDIT: I'm finding a Romulan with an Irish accent just slightly annoying.
