You liked all of Discovery? Interesting... I gave up after the first season.

There were parts that were a little tedious, but i quite enjoyed the homage to the Original series, and updating the characters... yes Spock was annoying!

It got better, I just hated the main character (bizarrely called Michael) being permanently angry...

I really liked her part in The Walking Dead but I just never warmed to this character. Maybe I'll go back one day.

Well, the first episode is every bit as terrible as Discovery. I don't think I'll bother with the rest.

It's like the writers have never seen Star Trek before :\

Watched the first episode last night on Prime

I quite enjoyed it, yes Spiner is a little waxy and bloated in his cameo... I guessed immediately who the 'enemy' were, and new immediately who the girl was... all a little predictable, but none the less i can see the potential.

Its interesting as my 10 year old has been watching Star Trek on horror/sci-fi every night at 6pm, then Voyager at 7pm, and has really got into them.

She even watched DrWho on a Sunday night, but hasnt really grasped that yet... i was concerned she may find some of it a bit scary, but it hasnt bothered her!

I watched the first one and thought it quite classy actually, not quite what I was expecting.

The subplot of being awakened reminded me of Treadstone and Bourne universe, the former I've just finished watching.

On the other hand, I'll wait for the remainder to become available and watch it in one go...

Me too, they didn't do things I feared, like glossing over Picard's age and making him able to do things well beyond his ability (like running without getting heavily out of breath).

The story is at least interesting.

That was amusing, although he made it to the top of the stairs...
