Not that bad, although I had seen it before... Star Trek TNG episode, Galaxy’s Child.

Episode 5..A space adventure.
Nice to see 20th century cardboard cutout spaceship scenery with glowing bulbs are now 21 st century preformed plastic paneling with LED lighting
Quite a lot of money put into this episode. Good enough story.
The 3D CGI monster was a cross between a.....

I thought it was an episode of Red Dwarf (without the jokes).

I'm about 3 weeks behind now, but I'm hearing from sci-fi fans at work that this series is seriously lacking and very preachy...

Just caught up with the Spiders episode.
Anyone with a similar mileage to me think it was more Doomwatch than Dr Who?

Another very poor episode, I was completely bored, didn't give a stuff what happened and am rapidly going off all 3 of the companions, its really going to have to pick up in a hurry as even the doctor is getting on my nerves now

As you say, the stories so far have been a bit 'so so', with the exception of the Black American history one, which I thought was really good.
I always enjoy the historical type episodes as well as quirky and unexpected ones like 'Blink'. So that's why I keep watching.

It feel's lightweight\SJS\CBBC & a bit generic, I'm still waiting for the Doctor & her defining moment to reveal itself.
Watching yesterdays episode it felt that when Graham was talking to Yaz, that they were writing for him as The Doctor & I believed in him as that just for that moment.
He's not the greatest actor in the world, but right now I think he's the best thing in it.
Theme - Retro & love it (Want to hear more of it & it took a while for the Indian version to sink in as to what I was listening too).
Titles l-Retro again & I like them, but seem to lack clarity or definition (Closing titles seem worse in that respect) on my laptop screen at least.
My outlook on life is positive & carefree, I'm positive that I'm a pessimist & I don't care what what you think.
Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.

From Saturdays to Sundays, from XMas to New Years... even the special gets a shift on.
As for last week's episode, for the first time in years, the whole family had reason to watch Doctor Who, not just this sci-fi geek. I thought my parents would appreciate it, having lived through Partition.
And afterwards, my mum tells me. "That looked nothing like Punjab"
"Yeah mum, but what about the story, the history, the social relevance?"
"Don't care, that looked nothing like Punjab."
Damning verdict delivered, end of conversation.
