Where the problem lies is the lack of a time index on flashbacks. They should have had say 'massacre day' +1 or 'massacre day' -a year, etc, as everything revolves around massacre day when the robots went diss-functional.

For instance we know from series 1 that Bernard Lowe who is head of programming, (the black guy with glasses) was originally a human, but died and is now a robot. We also know that he did not know he was a robot until later on, when he finds out that he is a robot (or is that a copy of his dead mind in a robot).

So we have three versions of him over time, but during flashbacks we find it difficult to know which version it is. This can also be said of the many characters in the show during flashbacks. And just to add to the confusion, is the question of who is human guest and who is robot host. Argh!

So its a bit of a mess to follow

Safetys on for guests.....
Just wondering how do you put 'safetys on' in Samuri world to protect the guests from very sharp blades?

I thought maybe it was just me. I like parts of it, I like the whole should-sentient-robots-be-treated-as-beings side of it... but it does seem to be not really going anywhere fast.

Your right Rob about it not going fast, as the human mercenary teams sent in to shut down the park and take control, are dead slow and stop

Episode 8 was dull, I like the actor in it (he was great in Longmire), but it didn't save the episode's feeling of being a filler.

Hoping this gets cancelled so I can stop watching it.

I think episode 8 'Kiksuya' was the best episode so far, showing the plight of a robot, who realises eventually that he is just being used as a puppet, by the puppet masters....

"Kiksuya, concentrates on a single host, the Ghost Nation’s Akecheta, and tells the story of how his pain at a love lost led to obsession and eventual enlightenment".

Mind you my son and daughter in law who was also watching the episode with me, thought is all very dull

Well its all over, and most confusing due mainly to the unknown timelines of the flashbacks. The mercs who were next to useless eventually sorted the park out one way or another.

So it looks like Series 3 if it ever gets the go ahead, which should be questionable after the most confusing series ever (except for LOST), will be.....SPOILER:
the AI robots outside the park, incognito.

Watching the finale as I type, because it's that boring. I'm sure someone is enjoying this season but I haven't met them yet.

This sums it up for me:

Alas, it is snoozefest. Instead of basking in the expansive universe that Michael Crichton created in 1973, the show does little to allow any time to have a look around. Every scene is stuffed with crucial exposition and foreshadowing, instead of letting our characters show any semblance of personality. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing – don’t get us wrong. The best TV should challenge the viewer and make them feel uncomfortable at times, but not at the cost of boring them stiff.

I thought it was a fantastic season, episode 8 being one of the highlights.

My only real concerns were the amount of exposition (which somehow made a fairly simple plot seem much more complicated than it really was) and the over-use of the "Surprise! So-and-so is a robot too!" plot twist.

Apart from that, I loved the world building and the final after the credits scene left me salivating at the prospect of what is to come in the later seasons. The scope of the storytelling is beyond anything I've ever seen on TV.

Have to disagree about episode 8. Absolutely loved it. Agree about the slower pace of this season though, had half a mind to jack it in and watch greatest showman again instead
