Well, watched the first episode, and it was really a catch up of the end of the last season. Nothing really new about it, except that....

SPOILER:
We find the park was illegally collecting data on guests, gasp, horror, so whats new in the world :D

Other than that there was as expected after the massacre, a high body count exceeding the Rambo movies.

Lets hope next weeks episode gets better.

Episode two was highly confusing with flashbacks and not knowing half the time who was a robot and who was human.

Two interesting points.....
Ed Harris as The Man In Black.....

SPOILER:
is a Cyborg, I think, as he uses a robot repair kit in the pub to sort his arm out after getting shot. So some of his limbs and other parts are robotic

The mexican stand off......

SPOILER:
Was like the monty pythons suicide squad in the life of Brian.
They were all programmed to self-destruct once their leader had achieved his goal. Cracked up at that scene, just hilarious

Spotted something in Ep2...

SPOILER:
Did anyone else notice a blond girl walk through shot in the scene when Dolores was playing the piano at the retirement party?

She had her back to camera but she looked exactly like Number Six, the Cylon femme fatale from Battlestar Galactica.

This could be:

1. Me seeing a coincidence that is irrelevant
2. The programme makers chucking in a funny little nerd reference
3. OR A MAJOR F***ING PLOT THAT LINKS THE BSG & WESTWORLD UNIVERSES

Haven't bothered checking the nerd-iverse for anyone else noticing this.

Agree that there is a definite nod and a wink to other robot TV shows and Films.

That girl walking was one and another was the use of very similar Bladerunner type music in this episode.

At least there is no blatant placement advertising that the new 'Lost in Space' TV series is doing ie, 'oreo biscuits in space'

At the end of Season one, we noted that there were Samurai robots, so expected a Japanese world, but in episode three of this season we get proof that......

SPOILER:
....there are far more parks doing other themes, Japanese world, the Indian Raj world, and  likely others on the Island.

Episode 4 and now its total confusion where this is going.

We now have....
Robots that are robots
Humans that are humans

SPOILER:
Suspected Cyborgs with human brain and part human/part robotic

And now we find out in this episode...
SPOILER:
Human minds put into robotic bodies (with side effect tremors and deterioration) .

Westeworld2  solved (possibly?)..big spoilers....

SPOILER:
Been on to other websites and the answer to Westwold is simple, origonally it was just a theme park with robots, but now the line between human and robot is merging, so to make extra money Westworld secretly was trying to perfect human minds going into robot bodies, so the rich clients could live forever,as their minds can be re-booted into another robot body. At the moment we do not know if this process is perfected or not.

And their is speculation that either the 'human mind/robot bodies' must remain in the park, or can be introduced into the real world to live their lives. That we do not know yet.

Also many watchers think....

SPOILER:
Ford played by Antony Hopkins will be returning at the end of this season as the big shocker, due to it being a robot version of himself killed, and the real Ford returns, or he is just a re-booted 'mind transfer' version of himself ?

I saw the woman in the scene in episode 2 too, and thought she looked like Number Six, but maybe it was unintentional, or a visual nod.

I loved the first season, but I'm losing the will to live with this season. Really not sure if I'm going to watch episode 7. Maybe I'll wait until the end of the season and see what you guys are saying, then binge it all on catch up.

Still alive and kicking. You can't get rid of me that easily!
