Blue Planet 11 is worth the bulk of the fee on it's own

Regarding Blue Planet and the like, imagine the advertising revenue they would make from a show like that, it would far exceed the license fee revenue surely

It's already sold around the world earning money for beeb. And part funded by other nations tv networks, so rights/revenues a major issue. Also, how happy would other channels be that a new player enters the scene chasing the same advertising pot.

Less than £3 a week is hardly very steeply priced.
People watch more BBC than they realise too.
And I'm only on Blue Planet II, never mind 11!  Can't wait to see the next 9 series!! :)
Yes, they make a fortune from selling it abroad.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

I watch a lot of iPlayer but only because it's stuff that interests me Vietnam, Cold War Hot Jets just lately and the ever welcome QI and HIGNFY.

Having said that I find iPlayer much easier to access than any other streaming or channel catch up. Logging in to Sky to watch catch up is a nightmare. I use Chrome which it wont stream on so it constantly defaults to Edge and then down to IE.
