Its this 'not having an ending' which is the problem, so it is open to interpretation.

Just hope every story ending in the series is not going to be like this.

'The commuter' episode, was really good and set in a modern UK setting. Plus it actually had a real ending for a change.

Timothy Spall (of  Avedisian Pet, and Harry Potter fame, to name but a few roles) is an excellent actor and can show real emotion in his face during this story where a parents responsibility and love for his child never ends, no matter what.

All actors were good in this, and the background scenery was real scary as it looked like Milton Keynes without the roundabouts, (Apologies to anyone living there).

SPOILER:
Also the taking of a used teabag out the rubbish bin was a brilliant touch, as we have all done that, when we run out of tea. Go on own up, I have

So it was Basingstoke, must remember to never visit there

As for the getting on and off the train, I though they would have been beamed off it, being Si-fi, but instead was a health and Safety nightmare

Mind you I have seen a commuter once dive head first off the platform right through the small open square window of a train just as it was leaving, and we had to pull him in as he was stuck half in and out.

He got a right ballocking off the train guard though at the next stop, as he nearly lost his legs on the train signal light post.

We watched episode 1, about half way through was tempted to switch off but figured had "invested" that much time in it may as well see it through ;) It was just a bit dull, and I didn't really care for the main characters.

The 2nd episode we both enjoyed more, thought it was quite interesting, the concept of buying into a fantasy/idea like ppl do these days, but in this case the human moral element of it.

Looking forward to Ep3 as we also like Timothy Spall.

Crazy Diamond....Another well known actor in this one, Steven Buscemi the American actor was the main character. Acting was very good in this one from all, including the lady pig, he he, had a few laughs with this, and the story was mainly one of distrust, and reasonably predictable.

Backgrounds were very good and a bit more money put into this episode, especially the living habitat pods, making me wonder what parts were real externally and what parts CGI. They even had some futuristic solar cell VW beetles, available in one colour only  Conclusion: It was an entertaining story.

Though there were a few questions left unanswered, which I will put in the spoiler.

SPOILER:
Ground was giving way to erosion, but why the steel floor under the grass everywhere? Were they on the Earth or some artificial structure, I just could not see the reason to show a steel floor?

Why was food corupting so fast?

The bodies were 'mind wiped' made human clones to accept the 'life forms' which i assume were alien, assimulating into Human form? Again not sure why this social structure comprised of Humans, alien clones, and humanised pigs, though expect the latter were the manual workforce working on zero hours contracts :D

We just watched "The Commuter", that was brilliant, you know a show is good, when after it finishes, you actually have a discussion about the ifs and buts etc, don't think we've done that since Black Mirror :)

As you say Timothy Spall does such an amazing job, or playing an ordinary every day person, making it all believable, no cliche, overacting etc. If you haven't you should check out Pierrepoint, based on a true story where he plays  England's most prolific hangman!

I've loved this series so gar, but Crazy Diamond left me scratching my head. Too many unanswered questions. Basically, I hadn't got a clue what was going on!

Still alive and kicking. You can't get rid of me that easily!

Agree with Sue Brown, that there should have been more background story to Crazy Diamond of the world these people lived in, and what caused this situation. (Even a worded explanation at the start would have helped, which you get in a lot of SI-fi films to set the time, place and scene).

My spoilers above covers a lot of the unknowns that were not answered in this episode.
