Jeez, watch it a second time????  Thought it was a complete, confused mess.  So many cringe moments with the 'kids' and their capers.  And the whole Terminator character??  That was serious?  I'm really not sure the series knew what it wanted to be as it switched between silly kids' games one second and gore the next.  All in a town where nobody appeared to live whenever there was any action.  Until a whole army managed to appear in minutes when needed.  But just too late.
So disappointed.  Especially when I thought it had finished but we got another 15 minutes of goodbyes.
EDIT: I meant to say though that Millie Bobby Brown shone and stole every scene she was in. She will be a big star. The others much less so, some of whom were just annoying.

Finished season 3 last night, I really enjoyed it.

The scaryness of the upside down world has been gone from this season, which may be a good thing, only so many times the same thing is foreboding and scary. But they replaced it with a lot of action.

Just watched it, thought it was okay.

The good:

SPOILER:
Nepotism or not, Maya Hawke is fantastic in this and a great addition to the cast
Can't get enough of dad Steve
Literally every moment with Erica was gold
Effects were stepped up a notch this season and pacing was pretty good

The bad:

SPOILER:
Really don't need the first episode of every season to be about catching up with all the characters. I already saw the previous seasons, can get on with the story please?
Teenage relationship drama zzzzzzzz
Constant annoying bickering between meathead cop guy and Winona with forced romantic arc that doesn't work.
Most problems solved by Eleven holding out her hands and screaming.
I got pretty frustrated with the predictable plot by the end. Also, too many last second saves and the obligatory noble sacrifice (my most hated trope).

Season 4 plot prediction:

SPOILER:
Hop's not dead but trapped in the upside down, gotta spend another 8 episodes getting him back.

There was some speculation that it might have been El's father, but that may be too wide a curveball.

Yeah definitely the cop..
Also found the black girl annoying and precocious beyond belief. Soooo irritating.
Felt the whole lesbian thing was crowbarred into it all late on to tick a box too.

Didn't even realise there was an end credits scene. I hate when they do that.

Sigh *re-downloads episode*

Really hoping they give us more depth on the lore next season. This year it felt like they were coasting on the charisma of the cast + 80s nostalgia, with not much story in between.

You know gay people can be in TV sometimes not to tick a diversity box? :) It made sense to me, she at no point found him attractive, even when they were both drugged. And it also instantly broke the classic trope of cool kid gets together with uncool kid after realising being cool isn't actually cool.

Yeah I know they can be Rob.
Still feel the same about the way it was handled.
It was as though you could literally hear the penny dropping for about a minute with Steve.
EDIT: Sorry, also meant to add initially that just when I thought the whole thing was confused enough they thought to make it a 3 minute musical too.. Aaaagh...
