I AM SHOCKED

Sandi Toksvig will be taking over. Just about the best replacement I can think of at least.

Oh no, not the Sandi Toksvig, the most maternal voice import from Copenhagen, Argh!

I can't stand her voice. I will have to give up QI.

Wait a minute I never watch the show anyway, so what am I worried about

Absolutely. I was a great fan of the News Quiz on Radio 4 (the only thing I ever listened on that station), and her brand of wit will be perfect

How does that work then?
I was under the impression that she quit The News Quiz to devote her time to 'The Womens Nagging Party' ©Jeremy Hardy. Suddenly she's now got time for QI.
Political career short lived or not as demanding as she first thought?

No problem with her as a replacement, probably as good as anyone else I could think of. I wonder if Alan Davies has any plans to leave and they'll have a complete change.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I thought this about Toksvig too.

Davies is staying apparently.

As per link above, "Davies will remain as resident panellist."

I'll miss Stephen Fry but as above, she should be a good alternative.

They usually shoot each series over a fortnight in May/June so it's probably less of a commitment.

I just watched episode 2 of the new QIXL on the BBC iPlayer.
It was the funniest episode of QI I've ever seen. Rhod Gilbert was very funny.

I think she works as the new host, as she's been on the show enough times as a guest to know how it works, and she's similar enough to Fry for the show to remain familiar, but at the same time she's different enough so that she's not trying to imitate him.
