Apparently the show runner quit over changes made to the final episode (after constant battles with Bob Tappert). They spent the entire season leading up to something, then ditched it right at the end. I still quite enjoyed it.

As much as I enjoyed the final episode it did feel like something was missing (I don't know what though), I wasn't aware of the show runner quitting.
That's two full seasons now and being honest I don't think there have been any really poor episodes, Great show and I can't wait for season 3.
