VAR isn't killing the game, it's the imbeciles running/misapplying it - and the refs bottling it and changing their minds.

That's been my tilt on it from day one.
They're like kids with a new toy that they haven't learnt to use.
They do things because they can not because the game requires it.

I think we can all look at goals disallowed for offside and think "thank god for VAR", it's just going through a bad moment...

Offside is different and not a part of the same rules for VAR. It's a supposed black and white call for that and not clear and obvious error etc.

Moment = Over two seasons.

As I said I've always been of that opinion myself but, as they seem incapable of learning or changing, turn it off.
At least until Mike Riley has gone and Howard Webb has had enough time to improve the quality of match officials.

An interesting match last night.
A little bit lost for the first 10/15 mins. After we scored, very emotional goal from Marquinhos and obviously meant a lot to him, we played the rest of the 45 mins in their half, apart from when we gave them a penalty, why do we always do that?
Second half not so dominant but a lovely goal from Eddie and not quite coasted to the end. Definitely a bit bum clenching and work needed on game management. Pass it around, take it to the corner flag, do not hoof it up field.

Other fixture went our way finishing 1.1.

That could be it for a while as all fixtures cancelled this weekend and I don't see how they can play anymore till after the funeral and possibly the extra weeks mourning.
Obviously all those who have already paid out for transport and hotels will be donning their black suits and sitting in a church pew contemplating their mortality for the 90 mins that they would've been loudly doubting the parentage of the opposition and match officials.

Most likely that our weekend match will be off and even the PSV on Thursday at risk due to policing levels required for the lying in state and estimates that queues could be as long as 30 hours.

Overall this season is looking royally ****ed (deliberate)

So that's it.
As of now PSV match off.
The possibility exists that we may forfeit the points.

I can see a couple of ways round it but it needs PSV and UEFA to be open to i.

Reverse the fixture and play this one at theirs.
Someone else has suggested a double header on the PSV home date (unlikely).
Neutral venue, though very short notice to arrange it so that might be a behind closed doors option.

Arrrgghh! Maybe we should just forfeit and have one less game.

That has some backing but finishing top of the group this season is more important as the second place teams have to play a knock out round vs those who've dropped out of the Champions League.
Do you really fancy a knock out match against United or 'them' to stay in the competition?

If there's any way to play it we should grab it.
