£15 well spent :) Not sure how much attention I would have paid at home, but in a nearly half full stadium (deliberate so that the side the cameras show looks full :) ) it was an enjoyable way to spend an evening.

I had good seat, 9 rows back between 6 yard box and half so could see all the goals :)

The quality wasn't always brilliant, well actually, similar to what I saw on the Olympics, similar team I think, some excellent passing, and excellent crossing, but finishing was poor, should have been more!
SPOILER:

yes, we should have score more than 8! 2 of them were own goals

A bit of good news after Infantino threatening to chuck his toys out of the pram as poor impoverished FIFA weren't getting paid enough.

just got our season tickets at St Mary's for the women's

£60 for mine, £15 for each of them. I'm happy with that, and season ticket holders get to choose better seats than are available general sale. At that price if one doesn't want to go cos they're bored of it, or have a birthday to go to, no great loss, and as one said, can always take a friend if one can't go.

the seats I've got, last season would have been £90 each for a men's match against the big teams!

It's kicked off! Also landmark moment, the ref giving the results of a VR decision via PA during the opener.

USA favourites but we have a good chance, would love us to end up in the other half of the draw after the group stages.

Opening game for England is Saturday 10:30am.

just heard this on the radio news:

Women's World Cup: England goalkeeper Mary Earps hurt fans can't buy replica shirt
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66263104

Quote:

Replicas of Earps' kit with Manchester United, who she plays for in the Women's Super League, sold out last season.

It has been reported that producing new women's goalkeeper kits for the public is not part of Nike's commercial strategy.

The England home and away shirts are available to buy in men's, women's and children's sizes and retail at £79.95 for an adults and £59.95 for kids.

A replica of the men's England goalkeeper shirt is not available on the England Store but is available with other outlets.

Earps says she was not told her kit would not be available to the public and only found out when the outfield kit went on sale.

I guess someone's spreadsheet thought it wasn't economically viable, but you would have thought there would be more interest in an England goalie shirt than Man U goalie shirt, but I'm not great with Excel.
