The first half was pretty even to be fair.
There was a bit of handbags after an Arsenal bench reaction to a Mané leap that wasn't a foul - but one side (and the home crowd) massively responded to that, raised their game and totally dominated the second half - with finishing as clinical as you get.
I was quite nervous about the game beforehand.  Considering the start Arsenal had to the season, a win would have moved them ahead of Liverpool in the table.

I feel like that's the sort of thing that always helps to further cement (as if it's needed) the managers with their supporters.

Only seen the highlights as I had to go to my niece's 30th yesterday, if only for domestic harmony.
Two lovely goals.
Saka's beautifully worked with an assist from our Tierney back up full back wonderfully positioned in their 18 yard box who's likely to keep him out of the team for a while yet.

Martinelli.
Very likely to be goal of the month, if not season and I really hope he gets a bit of a longer run than the end of a few matches.

Ramsdale with another...well Ramsdale save from Robert Tessier who's looking good considering he died in 1990.

Eddie Howe can do one with his not getting the 50/50 decisions. Especially as the barge on Martinelli towards the end was more of a penalty than the one he was bleating about.

Three lovely points

Man Utd on Thursday will be interesting.
If only to see who's actually in charge of them.

😂

It was a good game, we never really had to get out of 2nd gear. Martinelli's goal was amazing considering he'd barely been on the pitch a few minutes. I would love to see him get more time on the pitch, maybe the xmas fixture congestion will give him that.

Oh whilst I'm not sure if Odegaurd got away with not giving a penalty, but there was that horrible tackle on Martinelli that should have been one, and another foul near the technical area that should have been a yellow card.

Well, Odegaurd definitely didn't get away with not giving away a penalty that time. :/

I think our finishing let us down, Abou feels back to missing again. It was nice to see Martinelli given a longer runout though.

This team would be so scary if we could actually finish! But we can't, so it's not. :(

Hilarious first goal
Atkinson stood there for so long trying to find a way not to give it.

Unfortunately they reacted to it better than we did
You could see the loss coming when both teams came out for the second half.
They ran out and we did our usual shamble.
I would guess their half time team talk consisted of just 'You're United. F***ing go out there and act like it'

We should have had a penalty but it's Old Trafford so we didn't get it.
THe senior players really do need a kick up the *rse as it's not the first time we've just stopped playing.
There's sitting back and there's looking panicky hugging the 18 yard box.

I shall now go to work which should cheer me up immensely (not)

Family commitment means I'm going to be shouted at this afternoon for looing at my phone too often and too long.
