"Fair dos but has nobody mentioned VPN?"
I'm happy to concede that VPN may be a factor here, but would be surprised if it's a significant factor...

is the FA actually going to get sanctioned ? the more I see the more horrified I am about just how much they got wrong? Not having a go for sake of it as SFA is probably just as bad
At the festival I saw some of The Manor, and they had this track which is relevant and catchy:

An official report in to the crowd disorder outside Wembley has judged that if England had won, it would have been a bloodbath

An England victory in the shootout would have created a "further huge public safety risk" with up to 6,000 people planning to storm the stadium at full-time to celebrate as the gates opened to allow ticket-holders to leave
As the final neared, and every approaching match was met with reports of a number of England fans acting like brainless thugs, I personally feared how bad it would get if we actually won, and it appears I wasn't alone:
Quote:
"One of the saddest parts of this process has been hearing the testimony of FA staff.
"While they did not want the England team to lose that night, such was their concern for what might happen in the event of an England victory, they ended up with a feeling of huge relief at the result.
"In the end the penalty shootout went Italy's way, the rain came down, and the crowds dispersed largely quietly. But we should not lose sight of how close the alternative was. And they should never have had to feel that way anyway."
This is the side of UK football that I despise, and the reason I don't support any particular team rather than the national side. But how bad must we look, that our supporters, in significant numbers, behave so poorly that even our own FA were actually dreading us winning?
