I had the joys of drunken English fans arguing outside my window last night chanting "England til I Die" and then slating the players "you're paid £100 grand a week and you can't score a penalty"...

On the plus side, during the 20 minutes this went on, I didn't hear any racist abuse of any of them, so that's something at least...

Problem is not just Wembley but most grounds now have moved to private security ie: stewards on a basic £8. an hour and if you want to get physical and push past them they wont stop you.
Not trained and not paid enough.
Also still 40,000 coppers short so the man power isn't there.

Says he was public order trained, to a senior level, and though the Sarah Everard demo was a Met failure and he would have done it differently.

Most apt tweet I saw, to paraphrase.

Not sure of the detail behind it but it would appear that a lot of the racist s***e on social media may not even be from within the UK:

That being said, it's clear that there is sadly still a racist element amongst supporters as the defacing of the mural of Marcus Rashford shows.  

On the plus side, it would appear from the response to said defacing that they are very much in the minority.

This doesn't surprise me at all, I've said it a few times that Russia weaponises social media to sow discord.

I'm glad that more Tory MPs are standing up to Boris' fake "war on woke" and realising the damage it is doing.
