Take a look at this tweet and make sure you look at the Aussie one it includes.

How about a dangerously high kick in the penalty box just before half time that VAR should at least had a look at but the ref blows for half time 2 seconds after and everyone just goes in? 😁

It's a hard job, it's just a shame VAR is still having teething troubles.

VAR works perfectly.
It's the application of it that's a problem.
What happened to 'clear and obvious errors'?

I'll repeat what I've said before. No more than twenty seconds and or two replays to review a decision. If nothing's obvious after that then leave the ref's real time decision standing.
That doesn't include the ability/responsibility of the off field official to bring the refs attention to off the ball incidents and things he's plainly missed.

Yes that incident should have been looked at but it's significant that I don't recall us screaming at the ref about it.

Never ever understood the off-side rule :D

Maybe they could come up with something simpler. Like shoot the ref.

It's so simple though! Until you have to implement it...

it would be much simpler if the footballers had great big rulers strapped to them which stayed perpendiculer to the touchlines. Obviously the ruler would have to be strapped to the part of their body closest to the opponent's goal.

speaking of refs, as a lot of you I'm sure know im a huge fan of Aguero but his putting his hand on the neck of the female assistant ref was I thought really disturbing? I thought also putting your hand on an official was an automatic sending off?

I had to google this, yeah it is a bit disturbing, you are right. Not sure what other word there is for it.

Would he have done similar to a male official?  Not convinced he would...

Given the length of his career and the prominence given the incident I'm sure we would have seen a clip if he had.
