I'm so glad that our league position doesn't matter (no way we will get a euro spot from it anyway) and Leno isn't the sort of keeper to have his confidence crumble.

A lot of people seemed upset on Twitter the other day that Rooney wasn't in there. It's an interesting debate, do stats count more than skill? What makes someone a legend?

The reason I saw it, was on a Saints Facebook group, support to get Le Tiss in there, now I wouldn't dare say this in that group, but outside Southampton, does anyone remember/know/care about Le Tiss any more? He was great, and if he had played for a big club would have got more than a handful of international caps, but is he in the same league as Ian Wright, Cantona and others?

Rooney, dunno, maybe he'll be in shortlist next year?

Should Cantona's "Kung fu" kick exclude him, despite his football skills?

and do off the pitch activities count for/against them?

the rock n roll hall of fame has similar debates each year, why is X included but Y not, with some stars saying it's BS, but who know if that's sour grapes ;)

Maybe the only people that should be on there are ones where everyone, no matter what their team and how much they like or dislike them, can't disagree with their ability.

Obviously I'm going to think that Henry, Bergkamp and Adams were all legends, but I also think Drogba, Cantona and Gerrard should be there too. Wrighty is an Arsenal legend but in the same league as Henry? Beckham was very good but was he legendary?

But Lampard I have always found overrated, and really not sure how I feel about racist Terry.
