Missed the first 30 mins, switched on just in time for Auba's goal to go 2.1.

Certainly more chance of a 2.2 than a 4.2 in the last 15 mins or so but I'd agree as an overall assessment.
From a sporting point of view particularly liked Ancelloti wagging his finger at Richarlison for continuing after the whistle with his moaning at our players whilst getting a yellow card.

EDIT: Just caught up with the highlights and man alive that was some goal from Nketiah to go 1.1.
Saka's price is now going through the roof so I hope we can tie him down with a new contract and not lose him by trying to be stingy.

Even Ozil smiling at the final whistle, despite the mistakes, nice again to see Saka growing as a player and Pepe becoming a key part of the team.

It might be a bit early, but may be a few future England stars there.

They'd best get a move on with Saka as he could well end up playing for Nigeria.
Which will knacker us as he'll then be off mid season for the Cup of Nations.

Once Arteta explained to them at half time that it wasn't walking football and they were allowed to break into a trot it was a fairly easy win.
All the Arsenal children played well, which means half the team.
Mari looks solid, stable and as though he's been there and seen it.
Certainly seemed to fit in well.
Sokratis scoring a goal worthy of a striker and reacting like it's no big deal.
Eddie being confident enough to practically walk it in and wrap the net round it for the second.
Only minus is how long Torriera will be out.
That and Mike Dean being his normal twa*ish self and making it all about him again.

Let's see who we get in the draw.

Second half was much more enjoyable, but I'm really worrying about Guendouzi, whenever he gets the ball he spends 3 seconds looking around to decide what to do with it, grinding any attack to a halt. When he doesn't do that he gives it away.

It's not what you want from the midfield.

How ****ing long do they have to take with VAR.
Once you've accepted that Nelson wasn't interfering with play that should have been 10 seconds.
Were we lucky?
Probably could have gone either way but I don't think they can complain though of course they probably did, I haven't seen any post match interviews.

Eisenhower re-purposed a quote from Napoleon:

Quote:
“I'd rather have a lucky general than a smart general. They win battles.”

How much better to have a smart general that's also lucky.

Three points behind 'them' with a game in hand.
...but the game in hand is City on Wednesday. 😯

Who cares if it goes your way! :) Especially if the goal was instantly given for off-side and nobody was madly celebrating. This was a goal disallowed that was good, what VAR is supposed to be about!
