he was then he wasn't, it was hard to tell if he stopped playing well as he threw his toys out of the pram, but I always though that mentally is daft, why would a big club pick you're if you're playing poorly so not getting picked?

I think he thinks he's too good for our little club, he's never realised his potential. Better on paper than in real life, but then perhaps with a big club with better supporting players he'll be good. he played for Portugal as well.

but yeh, we want to get rid now, so we get some money while we can

i'm in 2 minds about the Spurs loan (not purchase, not even option to buy :( ) he  could be good for us, but he's the exact player in the past we've raised through academy, then sold after 1 or 2 years pro to a big club :(

I think we can put Burnley down to getting away with one.
We could have won it but on balance I don't think we could have any complaints if we lost.
Quite surprised to see a good few instances of handshakes and respect between both teams given Dyche's recent 'kick'em up in the air' philosophy.

Arteta seems to have improved the defence but now we can't score, which with Auba, Laca and now Martinelli and Pepe is a bit ridiculous.

I wonder if there was an incident on Lacazette after he went down in the box that VAR should have looked at. But mainly I think we just looked tired, after everyone has been giving so much for Arteta recently.

Need the break.

I need to watch the whole second half when it's up on the club site but from the radio commentary and 5 min highlights package what's not to like.

Four different scorers
Ozil looking a bit better these days and scoring
after 35 passes
Torreira→Pépé→Torreira→Xhaka→Auba→Saka→Xhaka→Auba→Torreira
→Xhaka→Saka→Torreira→Xhaka→Saka→Bellerín→Pépé→Bellerín→Pépé→
Torreira→Xhaka→Luiz→Saka→Özil→Luiz→Mustafi→Bellerín→Mustafi→
Leno→Luiz→Xhaka→Özil→Xhaka→Özil→Pépé→Lacazette→Özil

Saka just looks the dog's already.
Pepe as well looking a lot happier
Lacazette ending his dry spell
and finally we've got a positive GD

It was another step up, after a dire first half.

Pepe is definitely feeling (and looking) a key member of the team now, Lacazette totally mishit his shot but hopefully the pressure of finally scoring will mean he's more relaxed in future (he's missed some real sitters recently!).

The kids did good!

A one nil win in Greece at anytime is a good result.
The fans are really hostile and the atmosphere intimidating enough to freeze even seasoned players.
That and their mostly defensive game I'm more than pleased.
Definitely not job done but we can afford to wait for them to come out back at home, which they'll have to eventually.

Three clean sheets in a row!
Somebody pinch me.

I'm on my way to St Mary's, you lot couple of weeks time). Opened BBC sounds app, saw Ian Wright: Dsert island discs, thought I'd give it a listen. Glad I did, some of his stories you may know, bits I did, but not the details.

Have tissues handy! Saw him once, he played in the le tissier testimonial for ex England ix Vs saints, can't remember how many he got that time, but he got a great reception.

Already listened and yes a definite 'something in my eye' program.
If you can find it with a bit of Googling there's a Black and White talking head of him about thirty mins long. All the questions edited out so just him.
If you don't get at least a lump in your throat you're not human.

Good game, but full of errors.

You deserved it for some moments of sheer class.
