I know we are level with Palace on points, but we need to aim higher!

Caretaker for a few games with Per? I'm ok with that! Not going to do the whole, "Ex player as manager must be the savour of our club" thing, even if it was Henry. :)

Ho Ho and all that but the Walrus and Colin W*nker would not be on any list, no matter how long and short term Freddie's a far better option.

I doubt Poch would consider Everton as he's already been through a new stadium move, which they are due for, and he's aware how that affects the team and the player budget.
If he did come to us there would be no leeway or honeymoon period. Three or four losses on the bounce and they'd be hiring planes again.

I don't think you could fix the defence in two days, but that was definitely an improvement attacking wise.

Yes they looked much more up for it, a few decent moves and Freddie looked to have a reasonable hand on the situation.
Probably a fair result but as you say you can't put much right in one training session.
If only they'd sacked Emery at the start of the interlull.

I'm thinking we should start the 2020/2021 thread.

If we don't get the next appointment right we could end up like Everton who are now unable to attract the likes of Rodgers or Pochettino, because why would they, and be looking in the lower leagues of management.

We have an ownership who, despite Josh Kronke's attempts, are grounded in NFL, NBA and Baseball culture. I don't think they've got the nous to appoint a coach and the board are mostly octogenerian. The problems start with the ownership.

They bought Arsene Wenger FC and didn't think past that.

OMG we won, somehow woke up after an hour and realised we are supposed to be a top 4 team and should act like it.

Tried to follow it on the 5Live but, Alan Green and Chris Sutton, so quite a few 'Oh FFS' as I turned it off to stop me chewing the steering wheel.
Did manage to hear the spread of our three goals though.

I'm going to enjoy this strange feeling of winning and hope it continues against Standard Liege. Though as we only have to avoid losing 5.0 means we'll probably let in 4 and be sweating on seeing it out.
