Hope not, I hope we try and do win every game we play.

I think if you try to play tactically and go for the draw, there's so much that can go wrong...

I know this was the "reserves", but I thought Loftus-Cheek was our only player who looked good. Alexander - Arnold will be good I hope in 2-4 years time, good moments, but looked a bit nervous, but that's understandable, since he's a baby :)

I didn't really notice anyone else :(

Wellbeck looked lively when he came on, but yeah if that was the squad we have to play at any point later, it's not looking good. Thankfully not yet though!

I was at the Hammersmith Apollo watching Flight of the Conchords so I knew the result but managed to avoid the stress!

Have to admit, really bought into this match but I also feel a little guilty as well...

...when Henderson missed his penalty, I half hoped that if we went out it would be down to him as a Liverpool player and he'd become the next English pariah.

Sorry, I should know better but I couldn't help it.

Your honesty more than makes up for it!

the funny thing is, if that had led to us going out, I wonder if there would be memes of him clutching his face after being "headbutted" in the chin leading to him missing a penalty ;) I can't help but feel if that had been down the other end of the pitch there would be a lot of p*** taking like the Neymar one?

I'm sure Hendo made more of it than was 'necessary', but to compare it to Neymar's antics is way off. It was a definite red card offence and I'd like to know what the ref actually booked him for.  The Columbian's were truly horrible and tried and pretty much got away with every trick in the book.
As much as you could 'read' it, his saved pen was a 'better' pen than Dier's winner - except it didn't go in.
So exciting, but those penalties really aren't good for the blood pressure.
Thought Sterling and Lingard were poor again.  Kane was outstanding until he wasn't.  I assume he picked up a knock.
It was a shame we didn't get to see Pickford's save again 'cos 10 seconds later they scored.
