I had to Google that one and I still feel a bit 'Who?' about him.

Lichsteiner's won seven titles in a row with Juventus and seems like a Per kind of character which will help off the field as much as on.
Sovratis Papa andalotof opuluses looks to be due any minute as well.

So we had a crap defence and we're signing two experienced defenders early. Finally logic seems to be playing a part in recruitment. Arsene would probably still be chasing a five foot two 18 year old forward who was fast as f*** with plastic knees.

The only worrying rumour is that we are interested in signing Elbow McBadPerm on a free from Moanhio's misfits.

Stay tuned as I'm sure we're not finished yet.

You've obviously not heard the Felliani rumours then.

City at home then Chelsea away for the first two fixtures.

Nothing like an easy start.

Though Pep's lot should be more World Cup hung over than us.

At least let me suffer the World Cup before bringing me this news!

Actually I guess we'll see how our new manager is tactically, Wenger's teams could only ever play one way, it either worked or it didn't.

I don't recall looking forward to a season more than this one.

Regardless of your opinion of the actual players the positions we are filling are the ones we all agree are needed. Not the Arsene style of us all crying out for say a full back and him buying a midget winger for mega bucks.

Emery seems to like a high pressing game but is more prepared to adjust his style to the opposition.

Most of our supposed 50 mill seems to be going on Torriera who although only about 5'6" has a good rep and a lot about him,
Signings being done early and not 'Well you can't buy in a World Cup year, players are not interested until they return.'

At least it's football, though I haven't seen much myself. Getting most of it by radio and goal clips.

There's an awful lot going on and very quickly at that.

Jack's off, no surprise there but some regret.
Jens Lehman who's barely hung his jacket up is going.
Steve Bould is staying which I'm a little surprised at. Maybe Unai's promised to let him do a bit more than put the cones out and with Jack gone someone needs to explain to the team the importance of the NLD.
Torriera seems definite. Sampdoria have confirmed he's left for 30million euros but for some reason the announcement wont be made till next month.
There's probably 3 more on the way in and all the secrecy there used to be under Arsene has disappeared.

...and the belief that maybe, maybe next season this player or that will become the world class footballer they teased they might be.

Shame about Jack though, from what I read he could stay if he took a pay cut, but his raw ability is telling him he's worth more than that. I'll miss the 6 games he plays before getting injured each season. :(

He actually released a statement throwing it all at the new regime and Emery's door saying he was prepared to take a pay cut but they couldn't work out a deal.
Down to guarantees of playing time more than money.
