Page 15 of Arsenal: A new beginning for the 2018/19 season

Well that was a lot more fun than I thought it would be 15 minutes in.
The defence was like Fred Karno's circus and Valencia could've been 2 or even 3 up before we equalised.
I still wont feel comfortable going over there at 3.1 but I'd have been bricking it at 2.1.
I hope they put Koscielny in bubble wrap till the return leg.

If we get through I'd far rather play Frankurt than Chelsea in the final. Unless you could guarantee we beat them that is.

We are battling with Chelsea for 4th, we want Chelsea in the final!!! Win or lose, it would mean a CL spot for both of us either way!

Absolutely awful, remember earlier in the season when you looked at the bench and thought... Emery has a strong set of options there.

Now it's like he swaps in like for like, nobody you think will change the game. :/

I think mentally, albeit maybe not even a conscious decision, Emery and the players prioritised the Europa as a way into Europe with a trophy.

That's my straw and I'm clinging to it until it's cruelly snatched away.

Then I can have a relaxed summer railing against tight wad Kronke, a lack of ambition on his part, why haven't we bought/sold xxxx and even who the **** is supposed to be doing the buying/selling.

It's a fun life being an Arsenal fan.

How the hell have you lot let us (almost certainly) limp into fourth spot? With the luck we're getting at the moment, I'm expecting us to beat Ajax and then Barca in the final!

A question we have all been asking ourselves.
I can only assume an either conscious or unconscious decision to prioritise a way in to the Champions League that brings a trophy as well.
Risky to say the least.

I'd knock that down to 'hoping' I certainly wouldn't put the mortgage on it with a team that can stuff it up with 2 sendings off in one match.

EDIT: BTW strong rumours that Edu may be Sven's replacement.

We do seem to be different teams in the Europa and Premier competitions. :(

Actually no, we are horrendously unable to defend in the Premier league, and throwing every bit of energy into the Europa games to make up for our horrendous inability to defend and somehow getting away with it.

The absolute easiest run in of any team in the top half of the table, and we can't even win a game. Sigh.

Don't care.
Put the kids out wrap everyone else in cotton wool.
Apart from Ozil, he might be due a chest infection on May 29th rather than be dropped, which he should be.



EDIT: A lot easier watch now we've won but if you can't smile along with Wrighty on this you're clinically dead.
