Very good.  I had Shakalakaboomboom and Seabass.  Looks like I`ll be going to work on Monday!

I had a tenner on Sunnyhillboy at 18.5`s. Bitter :)

I`d won £220 on Ballabriggs last year as was there and won quite a few others (this is first year in about 7 years I haven`t been to either the National or Ladies Day :( ).

Same here - went to Cheltenham for 2 days though - liver couldn`t take any more. :)  It`s brilliant innit.  Nice for the ladies to make the effort. :)
Sad for Synchronised - what a great horse.  Didn`t look happy before the race - but landed slightly awkwardly. :(

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

Absolute disgrace, yet more horses killed for gambling. The sooner it is banned the better.

When it happens every single time, it is kinda hard to argue against Paull`s point.

And lets ban all aeroplanes flying because they sometimes kill the birdies.

I have no interest in horse racing, I`ve never been to a race & can`t see myself ever going.
I didn`t watch the race as I never watch racing.

I just looked up on google the last horse I put a bet on.
The jockeys name was Gee Armytage & the horse was called Gee-A.
That was is 1988 & its the last time I placed a bet on a horse.

If horse racing has to have jumps, then make the fences lower, maybe shorten the distance of the race, maybe even lower the number of horses if that would make it safer.

I don`t want the horses to be hurt, or the jockeys riding them.
I don`t like that fact that they use a whip. If you want to ban something, ban the whip.

But horse racing is the second biggest spectator sport (I think) in the UK so I don`t think banning it is really justified. Just make it safer.

TBH I assumed he was referring to banning the race, not the sport.
