No, no effect.
Does it make a difference that it's an IPS screen not LED?

Screens not new, probably nudging 3 years old, but I haven't noticed it before and it's now one of those things you can't unsee.

Watched Blade Runner 2049 and didn't notice it which is a pretty dark movie but does have a couple of snow scenes.

Maybe I'm looking for an excuse to buy a new 4K monitor rather than a cheap one for the Pi and keep this as the main.
