A VPN question

Snaps (Elite) posted this on Monday, 25th February 2019, 13:42

I started using Tunnel Bear a few years ago as a convienient way of watching iPlayer and Sky, services I have actually paid for, when abroad on holiday.

This site no longer works for this as I gather some VPNs have been blocked.

Interested in anyone's comments or advice on VPNs in general and this issue in particular.

Sky is my ISP, although I'm seriously looking at changing, would different ISPs offer the same, different or no problems.

EDIT: May have asked this before but what happens to my @sky.com email address if I shift ISP

Sometimes your router offers VPN features, so you can dial in to your network at home.

I'll have a look but somehow I don't think Sky would provide that option on there Q router.

I use PureVPN, a number of different connectivity options & plugins for Chrome & FF.

Some combination usually gets me accessing I-player\ITV\Netflix or US content.

Can't offer any advice regarding the VPN issue, but you can still access your @sky.com email as they use Yahoo for their mail server.

I (after 10 years) switched from Sky to Virgin but still access my Sky email on my iPhone through Yahoo. Simply use your Sky login in credentials to access :)

It is quite unfortunate that you did not get the access. Tunnel bear is offer very less features and unlike any top vpn it is regard as mostly a free option with limited options. I would recommend you to try Nordvpn, express or Surfshark. They are extremely good when accessing the streaming sites even Netflix. I just started watching disney TV through Surfshark vpn.

It is all quick and easy for me.

I use MonsterVPN, it's not free but it's reasonably priced and not let me down since I've been using it.

I'm sure you did and are not a spammer even though your IP is the same as RickyDaren who was also a spammer.

Ah.
I wondered why my long dead and solved thread had resurfaced.
