but then I'd have to wait another week for it to arrive, as it turns out I couldn't really wait much longer as i dropped current phone, and now the LCD is a bit of a mess making it only just usable :(

so far so good, screen is really good, didn't like my first selfie guessing my age though!

what i did like is the fact that I got annoyed trying to work out how I was going to back up stuff from the old phone to put onto this phone, but when I turned on this phone, and the wonders of modern technology it did it all, well most of it, for me :)

It seems mobile phones do come along leaps and bounds if you don't keep up to date with them, and things really are dumbed down in a good way. I remember having to move contacts from phone to sim manually, and then manually deleting duplicates :)

I think I'm less scared of my mum threatening to replace her old button Nokia with a smartphone, than them getting broadband and a laptop ;)

Ordered the Honor 9 Lite (thanks admars) but because of procrastination and checking reviews (all very positive), missed out on the cheap £159 deal (John Lewis had it for that too and also sold out quickly). Plumped for one from Carphone Whorehouse for £169 when I saw that other stores were starting to bump theirs back up to £200.

I think that's a sensible choice, I was getting v tempted to just bite the bullet and get one.

I'm really happy with this phone, interesting comments from 2 ppl at work (both iPhone owners)

1) that's too big
2) Other, how much was it? I like it, it doesn't look like a cheap phone I may get that as my next phone. (he has to charge up his iphone every day throughout the day and was v annoyed by the battery scandal)


they both have points :) i was quite surprised how big it is, and kind of heavy, but as in a good build quality kind of way.(we'll ignore the beats headphones with lumps of metal in them which did nothing to increase build quality feel ;) )

it doesn't look like  a cheap phone, my last one did, but this does feel and look like  a "flagship" phone, which it is from a company big in India and China :)

The only thing stopping me getting your phone was the lack of nfc.

When I first got a phone over 5" when 'phablet' phones had only just come out, I didn't really like the size. I opted for a smaller phone after that. But now I wouldn't really like a phone under 5.5"

still happy with it, but a few ppl have moaned about the camera (much better than my old phone) but ppl like to moan, however you can install some kind of new super duper google hdr cam which makes it a billion times better

it might be emperor's new clothes, I dunno yet, I installed it because I could ;) the old one is still there and it hasn't broken anything, that guide makes it easy, I tried donwloading some .apk files and running them but they just crashed the camera, this one works :) May well work on other phones as well.

Just noticed they are knocking out Honor 9 Lites on Amazon for £129 which I think is an absolute bargain (might be a Black Friday deal, not sure?)
