Thunderbird problem

Snaps (Elite) posted this on Saturday, 17th February 2018, 17:32

It's just thrown this up when I tried to delete a message.

Just a regular company notification I've had before and I was deleting without opening the message just from the header.
It now won't download and I can't access any folders of stuff I've already got.
Quick saerch is talking about changing the imap address though others say it didn't solve the problem.

Maybe you lot can chew it over and offer some help I've got to go and earn a crust right now.

how long have you had it for, it could be one of those things that will go away on it's own. I've not had that error, but have had random strange messages before which have fixed themselves, either but closing thunderbird and opening it again, or on next boot. Who knows if that fixed it, or there was a problem on the server.

today thunderbird told me the password was wrong for the mail server, despite having downloaded mail!

I've just fired it up and it's sort of fixed itself. Now downloading message header 29 of 901.
I think it can sit here chuntering to itself and I'll see where its at in (later in) the morning.
