I was reading earlier a lot of people in schools are worried as they have old equipment anyway, so the performance hit could hurt a lot, especially if they have old servers, and use virtualisation :(

AMD not affected, well, they are their share prices have gone up while Intel have gone down, but the processors don't have this problem.

Amazon must be screaming from the rooftops right now. Be interesting to see what the actual slowdown will be, possibly desktop users won't notice.
