Yep, it's also a pretty good law, but one Google and Facebook would rather not have happened.

Remember when Tony Blair's government banned tobacco advertising? Except after a few meetings with Bernie and some large donations to the Labour Party, F1 was magically exempt?

My point is, like them or hate them, it's very hard for corporations to have that level of influence over the EU because of the number of governments involved, where as it's historically proven to be not that hard at all for them to have that level of influence over individual governments.

unless you work in HR, or IT ;) I was talking to one of our HR ppl when recruiting and she said, putting feedback in email to me is fine, if it's constructive, just please don't put anything negative. However she has said the biggest pita comes from the people who work for the company, asking for everything, so you need to get all emails etc, and redact the stuff that they can't see etc!

I'm quite tempted to submit a gdpr request to the last 2 companies that made me redundant, just to annoy them :)

we've changed the phone system now so it doesn't automatically record phonecalls "for training purposes" (we used to give warning), but as it's all digitally recorded, people could ask for them!

as for the call logging system, if someone wants all their info, and wants to be removed, errr ummm :(

There is a lot of misinformation about GDPR, you don't have to remove all information on someone, it depends. (Yeah we have had to do a lot of this at work too!)

Also you can anonymise the data, not easy for recorded phone calls I imagine!

AI can debate better than a lot of us already. :o

I'm not sure the future is like The Terminator anymore, rather than an apocalypse there will just be robots down the pub that convince you of stupid stuff.

Thats just creepy, especially dead celebrities moving and also talking portraits (aka harry potter style).

Not sure where that technology is going, unless we are going to video conference with an AI. character and not know it.
