PCs & Mobiles Forum
I have a Facebook account which I opened a few years back when this forum went Mammaries vertical for a few days. So it's your fault Rob.
Hardly ever access it now as I find the site a total mess. Every time I logged on to it they'd shifted something else about and 'improved' it to death.
Only ever really used it to keep up with a couple of Arsenal groups. Never used it for status, photos and a running commentary on what I'd had for lunch. As I think I've mentioned before I'm not of the 'look at me' generation.
I'm from the 'mind your own bleeding business' one.
I use Privacy Badger as well but find I have to disable it for a few major sites (Argos, Tescos etc) as images won't download with it running.

RE: Google, you're internet stalker
I'm similar with facebook. Although I've had an account for some years, I've probably only ever commented or posted a couple of times. Don't put photos on it, have not filled in any personal info and barely look at it at all because I don't like the messy, confusing layout.
The only reason I don't delete it (wish I'd never started it, tbh) is that I have got links with distant relatives and friends - not that I ever contact them - and I would lose those.
However, next year I think I'm going to have to set up a facebook page for the business. It's almost unavoidable when customers start saying that they can't find your page. It is a marketng tool that you can't really ignore.
I use facebook, but I don't "like" companies. However, today an advert for the supermarket I go to was in my feed (adblock doesn't block these:( ) as some of my friends "like" this shop, advertising prosecco, and even stated they had it in stock at the name of the specific store I go to :(
Edit: was just thinking, some of you only "know" me from dvdreviewer, so it would be interesting, if anyone can be arsed, to see if you can find out exactly which shop from my posts on dvd reviewer, as you could have a good guess where I'm located from some of my posts, and I've no doubt posted " bought X on DVD while doing grocery shop in Y."

A chap I know who works for a water supply company. Told me that when they were renovating a plant recently they uncovered one of those choir boards.
You know the list of fatalities of the workers from the plant during the unpleasantness back in 39/45. 34 names listed.
Plant's run now by one guy on a PC.
EDIT: Same number of employees sparked the memory.

Maybe during the robot uprising we can use cunning and bluff our way to victory?

Nope, AI is now even winning at poker versus professional players.

Google making AI software that rights new AI software. One step closer to self-replication.
