I keep looking at it for the new house, but I can`t get them to commit to when it`ll be available.

I`m currently on BT Infinity for Business (37Mbps) and will likely get BT Infinity (home use) for the new place (~70Mbps) if Sky can`t sort it out.

Yeah, they`re doubling the speeds of FTTC this summer (for anyone signing on an existing Infinity line who signs a new contract).

I don`t really need it if I`m honest...but I figured "why not?"
Just means that the pr0n will download even faster ;)

That age old question.
Which came first the download or the downloader.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

Not even available for me and looks like it`s just that BT infinity run through another provider.
At least, Sky website states it`s "BT openreach Fibre".

And on a related note, I got a nice email from O2 the other day, just click this link, you`ve been with us a while so we`d like to give you a nice new free router to increase your speeds etc.
"Oh" thought I, "must be the N router to replace the G one"

Nope, it`s ANOTHER basic B/G speed Router and doesn`t even have an external antennae (or port) so it`s reach is LESS than my original one... add to that it`s an effin REFURB!
(my time in the trade has taught me to spot brown box repacked refurbs, that and the fact the sticker had been cut and resealed with a white piece of tape and the innards weren`t 100% perfect! )

I know I didn`t pay for it but what`s the point? It doesn`t do anything my other router doesn`t do except that "quick access" key and it has hard coded wireless key and username etc. I prefer to set my own key so not impressed and this little mess up from them may just be the final push for me to go to Sky after all.

I`m desperately looking for a decent wireless modem too - the Virgin `Superhub is awful! :(
If jimbo doesn`t/can`t have it, can I be cheeky?? ;-) :)
EDIT: Scratch that - it`s an ADSL2 modem isn`t it

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

You just need a router rather than a modem+router.
I can definitely recommend the Linksys/Cisco E3000. Not that cheap, but very versatile and decent throughput...all with the custom firmware installed.
