[VIDEO] Tim Smith, Cardiacs frontman has died after long illness

Can't really pretend that I'm any sort of a real fan, but thought this was a good excuse to post the video to their mad, fantastic, Mulligan & O'Hareish song Tarred & Feathered.

Absolutely gutted. Saw them several times and there was no other band that remotely sounded like them. Blur, Biffy Clyro and many others cite them as a major influence.
You either got it or you'd hate them. A very marmite band. Possibly appreciated more by musicians who actually understood how hard it was to play their stuff. The irony is Tim suffered a stroke and cardiac arrest at the same time some years ago which left him almost paralysed and in constant pain. The fans contributed towards specialist care for him in the past few years. A completely bonker and mad genius.
RIP Tim. Leader Of The Starry Skies.

Completely mad as a hatter. Don't even ask why his brother Jim is wearing just his underpants!

Yes, I remember this. Shamefully admit that I assumed he had already died.
