Nope, but I wonder who she would like equal pay with?
Sure there are plenty of male singers who would love to earn what she does...

And I'm sure plenty she isn't, I think she was making a general point which I wholeheartedly agree with

I'm not even sure the general point is right, to be honest.
Nice idea in principle, though.

You don't think, forever pretty much women have been paid a whole lot less than men for doing the same job?
RE: [VIDEO] Miley Cyrus feminist :)
John Barnes did a good interview about racism and extended the point to many other things, which is worth watching, but the only link on the BBC I can give edited it down to 2 minutes from 7.
His main point is that John Barnes is ok, people in his position who are wealthy and successful are pretty much ok, it's the average person who is not rich and/or famous that we should be using to measure whether we've made any progress.

Tell me what you think is the right job, and let me tell you about my experience in the civil service and working with mainly women. Civil service pay has always been about time on the job, so doing the same job (or even sometimes to the same quality) is pretty irrelevant.
There was a point as a team leader where I was temporarily promoted to manager and received an allowance for the extra responsibility. I was still being paid less than those I was managing.
So I'm not too concerned about this based on my own experience - which isn't a complaint by the way, as I knew all that and accepted it without question as I knew those coming up behind me would also be paid less than me as my time on the job and experience increased.
